“This was my first experience of Forum Theatre and 3C. A great way of exploring performance management skills and especially useful for investigating good and bad behaviours.”

Our Methodology
Return on investment in training and training evaluation

Our methodology is based on well established, widely used business models, applied in a fresh and practical way to Learning and Development.

Process Flowchart

The Two Dimensions of Value for L&DLearning & Development contributes value to the business in two ways:

  • Helping the organisation to deliver goals today
  • Building capability of the organisation to deliver more tomorrow

The Dimensions of Value are measured using established business models:

  • Delivering Goals Today is measured as a degree of Alignment between training and organisational goals, and the underpinning model is based on the Balanced Scorecard
  • Delivering More Tomorrow is measured as an increase in Capability as a result of training, and the underpinning model is based on Share Price Theory

All our processes follow the Model, Maximise, Measure approach:

MODEL - this is Training Needs Analysis, enhanced and improved because the ROI Academy™ approach provides both Business and Training Needs Analysis.

MAXIMISE - this process allows training managers to do scenario analysis looking at the value and impact of different training options to deliver the required result.

The output from the Modelling and Maximising stages are:

  • a clear needs analysis to define the content and desired results of training
  • a predicted value for the training
  • a structure and process for training evaluation and measurement

MEASURE - during and after the training, evaluation data is collected as planned. The data is fed into the initial models, and the actual results of the programme compared with the expected results. Reports give impact and value of training programmes in many ways.

How does the ROI Academy™ relate to the Kirkpatrick Model?

Our models can be used to measure all four levels in the Kirkpatrick Model, with particular emphasis on levels 3 (change in behaviour) & 4 (business results). More information>>
